how to read the bible!
Updated: Mar 4
“But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do.”
“Intently”- being intentional about the time you spend with God and really looking deeper into the word
“Continues”- don’t just open your Bible once or twice, continually study God’s word
“Doing”- after reading, don’t forget what you have read, but DO what the word says
dig DEEP into God’s word:
1) Read it
2) Study it
3) Memorize it
4) Meditate on it
5) Apply it
As we start off this very uncertain semester, I think it’s so important to stay rooted in God’s word. These simple reminders are ways for us to really be intentional about how we spend our time with God and with others. Let’s dig deep into God’s word, really listening to what the Holy Spirit has to say, and let’s live it out.
